Alison Kneisl, MD
I am a board certified family practitioner. Although trained as an allopathic or "Western medicine" doctor, I strongly value different healing modalities and the practice of integrative medicine. As such, I do my best to counsel patients about the various therapeutic options available and help them find a path to health that feels right for them. I also believe in the power of the healing relationship and so make a concerted effort to spend time with patients and truly listen and understand their concerns in an atmosphere of compassion and respect.
In my practice, I enjoy seeing families and patients of all ages, and I welcome the full spectrum of health issues that confront people. I also place a great deal of emphasis on patient education and preventive care.
I received my medical degree from UC San Francisco in 1997, and also received an MS from UC Berkeley School of Public Health. I completed my residency training here in Seattle at Providence Hospital (now Swedish Hospital – Cherry Hill) and at the Seattle Indian Health Board, and then spent the bulk of my post-residency years working as the medical director for the Muckleshoot Tribe.
In my leisure time, I love traveling, hiking, reading, cooking, exploring spiritual pursuits, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends.
